Advanced UPRT

In recent years, it has become apparent that adverse flight conditions involving loss of control of the aircraft are among the main risk factors and can lead to accidents in aviation. For this reason, it is necessary to prepare pilots as well as possible for dangerous situations so that they can cope with adverse flight conditions and loss of control.

The aim of the training is to increase pilots’ ability to recognize and avoid situations that can lead to aircraft malfunctions. Furthermore, it improves their ability to regain control of an aircraft that has exceeded normal flight conditions.

This is achieved by increasing awareness of potential disruptive situations, as well as knowledge of flight dynamics and the application of this knowledge during training scenarios.

The objective of the theoretical knowledge course as part of advanced UPRT in accordance with FCL.745 is to prepare student pilots for UPRT in aircraft.

  • Aerodynamics
  • Causes of and contributing factors to disruptions
  • Detection of excitement
  • Undesirable aircraft conditions
  • G-force awareness and management
  • Energy management
  • Trajectory management
  • Threat and error management
  • Human factors

The course consists of 5 hours of theoretical instruction.

Practical training Advanced UPRT

  • Understanding of basic aerodynamics and flight dynamics to obtain a
  • Understanding of the angle of attack and the energy state of the aircraft throughout the entire flight range used
  • Application of theoretical knowledge to prevent environmental disturbances or disturbances caused by aircraft systems and pilots, and to recover from such disturbances
  • Training g-awareness to convey experience with the effects of the physiological aspects of g-force (positive/negative/lateral) with the effects of sensory illusions.
  • Developing awareness for the early detection of dangerous flight conditions
  • Information and techniques for regaining control of the aircraft

The advanced UPRT course includes 3 hours of flight training.

Voraussetzungen VFR Nachtflugberechtigung gem. FCL.810
